Our story is a celebration of tradition, warmth, and community, inspired by our beloved matriarch, Molly Mitchell. When Molly and Hugh Mitchell moved to San Francisco, they carried with them the heart of Irish culture and hospitality, along with Molly’s favorite saying, “There’s no such thing as strangers, only friends we haven’t met yet.” This spirit became the foundation of both Fiddlers Green and Molly O’s.
Fiddlers Green opened its doors in 1991 with a simple goal: to bring a touch of Ireland to the Peninsula. Our mission was to offer exceptional food, drinks, and the lively craic (fun) that defines Irish gatherings. In 2023, we extended our warm embrace with the opening of Molly O’s in San Carlos, continuing our tradition of bringing people together. Both Fiddlers Green and Molly O’s feature a menu rich in traditional Irish fare, pub favorites, and inventive twists on classic dishes. Our Perfect Pint certification from Guinness is a testament to our dedication to serving the finest pint around.
Our celebration of Irish culture extends beyond the menu. We host live music, dancing, and sporting events, including local teams and European favorites like soccer, rugby, Gaelic football, and hurling. Whether you’re joining us for a hearty meal, a perfectly poured pint of Guinness, or simply good craic with friends old and new, you’ll always find a warm welcome waiting for you.
